EMILY's List President Stephanie Schriock Responds to Trump's State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement following Donald Trump's State of the Union address: 

“Tonight, Republicans cheered as Donald Trump celebrated the anti-woman, anti-choice agenda they peddled during Trump's first year in office. The crowd was filled with Republicans who attempted to cut health insurance from millions of Americans, defund Planned Parenthood, and just yesterday tried to advance a dangerous anti-choice bill. With Republican approval ratings plummeting and GOP members of Congress retiring and abandoning their seats in record numbers, two things are certain: A wave of pro-choice Democratic women will be elected in November — and every Republican member should be worried. Next year, that room will look very different. We can't wait.”
