EMILYs List Endorses Paige Beauchemin for New Hampshire House District Hillsborough 3
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Paige Beauchemin for New Hampshire House District Hillsborough 3. EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler released the following statement:
“Paige Beauchemin has spent her career supporting people making critical and life-changing decisions about whether, when, and how to start a family. She has seen firsthand how reproductive freedom can save lives, and she has also seen the consequences of people not being able to get the care they need. EMILYs List is proud to endorse her in this potentially tie-breaking race for Democrats in the chamber for the people of New Hampshire House District Hillsborough 3. We know that she will stand up to anti-choice extremism in the legislature and continue to be the fighter for women, children, and families that she has always been.”
Paige Beauchemin has been an advocate for women, children, and families for her entire career as a registered nurse, as well as a birth attendant and childbirth educator. She also helped to build one of the country’s first perinatal mental health clinics. Beauchemin is a proud mother of three and is running in the special election for New Hampshire House District Hillsborough 3 to continue to champion reproductive freedom, and to fight for greater equity in the treatment and outcomes of reproductive healthcare for the residents of her district and all residents of the Granite State.
EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, works to elect Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot and across the country with a goal of fighting for our rights and our communities. Our work is centered around a fundamental vision: Run. Win. Change the World. EMILYs List has raised $850 million in service to that vision and has helped Democratic women win competitive elections by recruiting and training candidates, supporting and helping build strong campaigns, researching the issues that impact women and families, running one of the largest independent expenditure operations for Democrats, and turning out women voters to the polls. Since our founding in 1985, we have helped elect the country’s first woman as vice president, 175 women to the House, 26 to the Senate, 20 governors, and over 1,500 women to state and local office. More than 40% of the candidates EMILYs List has helped elect to Congress have been women of color. Visit www.emilyslist.org for more information.
