EMILY's List Endorses Eight More Women Leaders for the Florida State Legislature

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed eight more women leaders for the Florida state Legislature. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“Whether it’s working to combat climate change and preserve Florida’s natural resources, improve public education, or expand access to affordable health care, EMILYs List is confident these incredible pro-choice Democratic women are the best candidates to lead. Women of any party make up just over a mere quarter of the Florida state Legislature, and it’s time for that to change. EMILYs List is proud to stand with these women leaders whose voices belong in Tallahassee.”

EMILYs List endorsed the following slate of candidates:

Linda Jack (HD-36)
Debra Bellanti (HD-60)
Tracy Pratt (HD-71) 
Liv Coleman (HD-73)
Cindy Polo (HD-103)
Sara McFadden (HD-106)

These endorsements are in addition to 11 previously endorsed EMILY's List candidates – Emma Collum (HD-93), Janet Cruz (SD-18), Fentrice Driskell (HD-63), Kayser Enneking (SD-08), Anna Eskamani (HD-47), Joy Goff-Marcil (HD-30), Margaret Good (HD-72), Amanda Murphy (SD-16), Tracye Polson (HD-15), Annette Taddeo (SD-40), and Jennifer Webb (HD-69) – who advanced through their primaries to the general election on August 28, 2018. In addition, Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade County Commissioner for District 8 who was also endorsed by EMILY's List, won her re-election outright.
