EMILYs List Endorses Denise Powell for Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Denise Powell for Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:
“Denise Powell is running for Congress to fight for the Nebraska families forgotten by Washington. She stepped up to be the leader her community needed when public schools were threatened and extremists tried to pass abortion bans, all while helping women in Nebraska run for office. Denise has seen firsthand the effects of Trump’s harmful policies in her community, and she is ready to fight back to secure a better future for all. EMILYs List is proud to support her in this race as she fights for Nebraska.”
Denise Powell is a mom, small business owner, former corporate executive, public school champion, and health care advocate who knows that a strong work ethic and a love of family and community is the Nebraska way of life. After Trump’s election in 2016, she founded an organization that has supported hundreds of women in Nebraska running for local office, protected public schools, and helped stop extremists from passing abortion bans in the state. Denise is running for Congress to fight for Nebraska’s working families. Now an open seat, Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District is a top flip opportunity for Democrats in 2026.
