EMILYs List Action Launches “High Cost Summer” House Accountability Program in Trump Country
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, EMILYs List Action, an affiliated organization of EMILYs List which has been doing research about the needs and views of women for more than 20 years, is announcing “High Cost Summer,” a seven-figure Republican accountability digital ad and mail program targeting women in key U.S. House districts, beginning with CO-05, FL-13, and OH-10.
The ad program will educate women – who are hit hardest by Trump’s reckless agenda – across these key districts about Republican incumbents Jeff Crank (CO-05), Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13), and Mike Turner (OH-10) voting for Donald Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” and sending their healthcare costs soaring in order to give tax breaks to billionaires and wealthy corporations.
EMILYs List Action president Jessica Mackler said:
“Women are being hit the hardest by Republicans’ recklessness on the economy. As the ones often balancing their household checkbooks and serving as caregivers for their families, women are most impacted by the pain and instability caused by Republicans’ votes to skyrocket grocery, utility, and healthcare costs through Trump’s budget bill. We’re going to make sure women know exactly what these members of Congress voted for and what those votes are costing their families every day.”

As we implement this accountability program, we’re also leading the way in meeting voters where they are. 74% of Americans report using generative AI when searching for information, underscoring just how quickly the ways people access news and make decisions are changing. Through this program, we are partnering with leading AI chatbot tracking experts to better monitor where voters are getting information and to ensure they can find accurate information about the issues affecting their lives wherever they’re looking — from their mailbox to AI-powered search results.
