Chelsea Handler Partners with EMILYs List to Elect Women to Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, comedian and author Chelsea Handler announced that she has partnered with EMILYs List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics, in their work to elect more pro-choice Democratic women to office at all levels. Handler will co-chair EMILY's List's Creative Council, an initiative to reach new, diverse groups of voters who will support pro-choice Democratic women running up and down the ballot.
“If the past year has taught us anything, it's that we need more women in power – especially in politics,” said Chelsea Handler. “I'm proud to partner with EMILY's List, which has worked for decades to elect women to office at all levels of our government, and to co-chair the Creative Council. Like so many Americans, I was motivated by last year's election – and Donald Trump and the Republican Party's repeated attacks on our rights since – to take action and fight back. That starts with changing the face of power in this country by electing a wave of pro-choice Democratic women to office at the local, state, and federal levels in 2018 and years to come.”
