EMILYs List Statement on Vice President Harris’ History-Making Visit to an Abortion Provider

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Vice President Kamala Harris is visiting a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Minnesota. This is the first time any U.S. president or vice president has visited an abortion clinic. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“Vice President Harris is the leader we need in the fight to restore reproductive freedom across the nation. Today, as always, she is using her own power and status to shine the light on issues that need to be addressed, and this history-making visit will keep the issue of abortion rights and access in the forefront, where it should be.

“Actions speak louder than words. There’s only one party and one presidential ticket fighting to protect our reproductive rights, while Trump and the GOP extremists are working to strip our rights and implement a national abortion ban. The choice is clear.”
