EMILYs List Puts Jen Kiggans “On Notice”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, announced that it was placing Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) “On Notice.” Kiggans joins 22 other extremist anti-choice House Republicans as some of EMILYs List’s top targets to defeat in the 2024 election cycle. EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler released the following statement:
“Rep. Jen Kiggans doesn’t just want to restrict abortion — she wants to end it. That’s why she happily accepted the endorsement of the right-wing anti-choice extremist group Susan B. Anthony List, whose mission is to end abortion and destroy reproductive freedom. Kiggans has also voted for multiple anti-choice bills during her short time in Congress, and when millions across America were grieving the loss of their rights when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Kiggans said she ‘applauded’ the decision. Kiggans is out of touch and out of time — and in the next election, we will make sure our voices are heard loud and clear and vote her out.”
