EMILY's List Statement on Kim Schrier’s Victory in Washington’s 8th Congressional District

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Kim Schrier on her primary election victory in Washington’s 8th Congressional District. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:
 
“Congratulations to Kim Schrier on her primary victory. Kim is a community leader and a strong advocate for access to affordable health care who is prepared to fight for Washington State families in Congress. As a pediatrician and someone who herself has a pre-existing condition, Kim understands the difficulties and fear many families face when navigating our current health care system and is ready to work hard to protect and expand access to affordable, quality care. Republican Dino Rossi, on the other hand, has run and been rejected by voters twice before, because they recognize that he would be nothing but a rubber stamp for the GOP agenda in Congress. Kim is a champion for the women and working families of Washington’s 8th District and EMILYs List looks forward to helping her win this race in November.”
