Women Vote LAUNCHES PROGRAM EDUCATING PENNSYLVANIA VOTERS ON RACHEL REDDICK’S RECORD
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List’s voter mobilization and education project, Women Vote, announces a direct mail program to educate voters of Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District about Rachel Reddick.
Rachel Reddick will be the progressive voice of the 1st district, standing up to Donald Trump and Washington Republicans as they threaten access to affordable health care and roll back environmental protections. As a veteran and a mom, Rachel knows the importance of protecting our children by keeping assault weapons off our streets and out of our schools. As an advocate for survivors of domestic abuse, she will protect women from violence and harassment and she will always protect a woman’s right to choose. The direct mail program will introduce voters to Rachel and educate them on her commitment to expanding access to affordable health care and protecting women and children.
The seven-piece mail plan targets any voter who voted in at least two of six Democratic Primaries (’17, ’16, ’14, ’13, ’12, ’10), any Democrat who registered after 3/25/16 and has since voted in a General Election, and any new Democratic registrants since Election Day 2016, with the exception of voters under 50 who did not attend college.
The mail will be sent to a universe of 52,544 voters in 40,881 households and will drop on the following dates: 4/18, 4/23, 4/26, 4/30, 5/3, 5/7, and 5/9.
Women Vote is EMILYs List’s independent expenditure arm which works to educate and mobilize women voters on behalf of pro-choice Democratic women candidates, and help turnout voters for Democrats up and down the ballot. Launched in 1995, the EMILY's List Women Vote project combines polling and research, sophisticated message testing, the latest innovations in data and technology as well as good old-fashioned voter contact to mobilize millions of women voters across the country.
