Women Vote Announces Six-Figure Television Program in Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District Race
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Women Vote, the independent expenditure arm of EMILYs List, announced a six-figure television program in Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District. The ad, which begins airing today, calls out Stephanie Bice’s record of voting with Mary Fallin against quality public education and teachers.
“Congresswoman Kendra Horn understands that an investment in quality public education is an investment in our future success,” said Melissa Williams, vice president of independent expenditures at EMILYs List. “This pandemic has laid bare all of the ways we have taken teachers for granted. Teachers are frontline workers and heroes, and Stephanie Bice has voted against paying them what they are worth. While Kendra Horn has been hard at work introducing legislation to increase the accessibility of education during COVID-19, Bice has voted to cut funding for public education by $78 million in 2021. Oklahomans deserve better than Stephanie Bice, and they’ll get it when they reelect Congresswoman Kendra Horn.”
