ICYMI: Annie Andrews Wraps Up “Patients and Prices” Tour Highlighting Plans to Lower Health Care Costs

Sen. Darline Graham Remains Absent from the Campaign Trail

Dr. Annie Andrews continued her barnstorm of the state this week, making over two dozen stops on her “Patients and Prices” tour highlighting her plans to make health care more affordable and accessible for South Carolinians. The tour included stops focused on health care affordability, prescription drug pricing, veterans health care, the cost of cancer care and unique health care challenges in rural areas. 

Andrews, a pediatrician, highlighted the drastic cuts to Medicaid that are affecting South Carolinians and putting rural hospitals at risk of closing. Her opponent, Senator Darline Graham, supports the cuts because it pays for tax cuts for her wealthy special interests. 

As part of her statewide tour, Dr. Andrews visited communities including Ridgeland, Allendale, Saluda, Greer, Columbia, Charleston, Rock Hill, Indian Land, Bennettsville, Dillon, and Little River.
