EMILY's List Announces Run. Win. Change the World Tour and New Brand Ahead of Midterm Election
Tour Set to Start in New Hampshire with Democratic Pro-Choice Champion Sen. Maggie Hassan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List–the nation’s largest resource for women in politics—announced its Run. Win. Change the World Tour ahead of November’s midterm elections. With reproductive rights on the ballot,  EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler and other leaders will travel across the country to join EMILYs List endorsed candidates in key states like Michigan, Colorado, and North Carolina. Their goal will be to remind voters that when Democratic pro-choice women are elected up and down the ballot, they protect our rights and can change the world.

With only 70 days until the midterm election, EMILY's List is working across the country to ensure our elected officials reflect the will of the American people. The Run. Win. Change the World Tour, set to begin in New Hampshire on Wednesday, Aug. 31 where Laphonza will campaign for Sen. Maggie Hassan, will include organizing events, press events, fundraisers, and community trainings across the country.

EMILYs List is also unveiling its new brand and tagline, meant to reflect the work of the organization and the women it works to elect: Run. Win. Change the World. This brand and tagline honors the social justice warriors of the past; while recognizing the fight that must continue for the next generation. This rebrand meets the moment of new organizational leadership and will guide the Run. Win. Change the World Nationwide Tour.

“Over the nearly 40 years of our existence, EMILYs List has successfully changed the face of politics,” says EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler. “Continuing that great legacy and meeting the urgent demand to protect access to essential health care and free and fair voting, we are even more certain that the mission of EMILYs List has never been more vital for the survival of our democracy.”

“EMILYs List wants all Democratic pro-choice women to find a home in our organization — those with traditional political backgrounds and those who have walked unconventional paths, those who have served their communities as teachers and those who have been activists. We want all women who want to represent their communities through public service to know that her journey qualifies her to run, win and change the world.”

The Run. Win. Change the World Tour stops will include, but may not be limited to  New Hampshire, North Carolina, Colorado, Michigan, Georgia, Kansas, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.

The typography used in our new wordmark references iconic hand-lettered signage from 100 years of progressive protests and social causes — including the movements for women’s suffrage, organized labor, civil rights, ERA, and LGBTQ+ equality.

The flag icon is constructed from a stylized “E” and a checkmark, signaling faith that real progress can — and will — be delivered through the democratic process.

EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, works to elect Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot and across the country with a goal of fighting for our rights and our communities. Our work is centered around a fundamental vision: Run. Win. Change the World. EMILYs List has raised over $700 million in service to that vision and has helped Democratic women win competitive elections by recruiting and training candidates, supporting and helping build strong campaigns, researching the issues that impact women and families, running one of the largest independent expenditure campaigns for Democrats, and turning out women voters to the polls. Since our founding in 1985, we have helped elect the country's first woman as vice president, 159 women to the House, 26 to the Senate, 16 governors, and nearly 1,400 women to state and local office. More than 40% of the candidates EMILYs List has helped elect to Congress have been women of color. Visit www.emilyslist.org for more information.
