EMILYs List Statement on Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s Retirement

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, after decades of trailblazing leadership as one of the most powerful women in American politics, and serving as the first and only female Speaker of the House, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi announced that she will not run for reelection in 2026 after her current term in office ends.
