WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Lauren Underwood on tonight’s primary election victory in Illinois’ 14th Congressional District. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“As a registered nurse and a health care expert, Lauren understands that hardworking families deserve a champion who will fight for the commonsense policies they so desperately deserve, including quality health care, strong public schools, affordable child care, and paid family leave. Now, she faces Congressman Randy Hultgren in this competitive district, and EMILYs List could not be more excited to help elect Lauren as a champion for Illinois women and families to Congress this November.”
