EMILYs List Expands House Battlefield With Five New Mission Majority Targets
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List is expanding its Mission Majority initiative into deeper Republican territory, backing Callie Barr (MI-01), Trina Swanson (MN-08), Teresa Benitez-Thompson (NV-02), Beth Macy (VA-06), and Carmela Conroy (WA-05). These women are putting GOP-held U.S. House seats in play and expanding Democrats’ path to take back the majority this November.
“From the start of this cycle, EMILYs List knew Democratic women would be the key to building a path to the House majority — and that Republicans’ disastrous record would create an opportunity to expand the battlefield into tougher territory,” said EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler. “Beth, Callie, Carmela, Teresa, and Trina are doing exactly that, putting some of the toughest seats on the map in play because they know their communities, understand what families are up against, and have what it takes to win. EMILYs List is proud to stand with these Majority Makers as they expand the battlefield, put more seats in play, and work to take back the House this November.”
Mission Majority is EMILYs List’s aggressive effort to flip control of the U.S. House in 2026 by putting Democratic women at the center of the fight. Through the program, EMILYs List recruits, trains, and works alongside Democratic women running in competitive districts critical to winning the House majority. EMILYs List will continue monitoring the political landscape, with additional races potentially joining the Mission Majority initiative as the cycle progresses.
