EMILYs List Endorses Sarah Perry for King County Council

 Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Sarah Perry for King County Council in Washington State. Emily Cain, executive director of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“EMILYs List is proud to endorse Sarah Perry for King County Council. Sarah has dedicated her career to serving the families and children of her community. From co-founding a local indoor playground to volunteering for organizations that help those suffering from mental illness and hunger, Sarah’s work has benefitted those in need in King County. We know that as a councilmember, she will work to empower small businesses, create accessible transit options, and protect the environment. We are thrilled to support her inspiring campaign.” 

Sarah Perry is a small business owner and an executive in the nonprofit and government sectors. She served as the chief development officer for Social Venture Partners International. She has also worked and volunteered on initiatives to combat homelessness, hunger, and mental illness. Sarah has a long history of civil engagement. In 2018, she received the Campaign Heroine Award from the National Women’s Political Caucus for her organizing work, and in 2017, she won the Magnuson Award for Western Washington Organizer of the Year from the Washington State Democrats. She has lived in Issaquah, Washington for 21 years.
