EMILYs List Endorses Maura Healey for Governor of Massachusetts

WASHINGTON, D.C. – EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, has endorsed Gov. Maura Healey for reelection as governor of Massachusetts. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“Gov. Maura Healey is a bold leader who always shows up for people who need someone in their corner and, as governor, she’s delivered concrete progress for working families across Massachusetts. She cut taxes for the first time in two decades and enacted the most generous universal child tax credit in the nation. From tackling housing and health care affordability to expanding child care, strengthening K-12, and making community college free, Gov. Healey has delivered. She will always stand up for Massachusetts and anyone who tries to get in the way of making life better for the people of her state. EMILYs List is proud to support her reelection.”

Gov. Healey was elected in 2022, and she quickly delivered on key promises to help Massachusetts become a more affordable and equitable place to live, and a great place for businesses to operate. She has prioritized education and workforce development with free school meals for K-12 students, cost-free community college for Massachusetts residents and career apprenticeships accessible to more students and workers. Gov. Healey is a fierce advocate for reproductive freedoms, and on the second anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, she signed an executive order protecting access to emergency abortion care. Additionally, Gov. Healey worked with the state Legislature to ensure protections for providers and patients seeking abortion care and codified those provisions into the state’s shield law.
