EMILYs List Endorses Leirion Gaylor Baird for Mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Leirion Gaylor Baird for mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska. EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler released the following statement:

Leirion Gaylor Baird is the 52nd mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska and one of the most effective mayors in the city’s history. In office, she has prioritized public safety, infrastructure improvements, economic renewal, and ensuring quality of life for all residents of Lincoln. Prior to being elected mayor, Gaylor Baird was an at-large member of the Lincoln City Council and served on the Lincoln and Lancaster County Planning Commission. Gaylor Baird is a graduate of Yale University and lives in Lincoln’s Near South neighborhood with her husband, Scott, and their three children.
