EMILYs List Congratulates Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet on Her Reelection to Michigan’s 8th Congressional District

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet’s reelection to Michigan’s 8th Congressional District, EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“EMILYs List proudly congratulates Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet on her reelection to Michigan’s 8th Congressional District. Since winning this critical seat in 2024, Kristen has been a tireless advocate for working families, fighting for affordable childcare, reproductive freedom, and economic opportunity. Her reelection ensures that Michigan families will continue to have a strong voice in Congress and reinforces the importance of electing and defending women who can deliver in competitive districts. EMILYs List was proud to help elect Kristen in 2024 and is thrilled to see her continue this critical work.”

EMILYs List’s Mission Majority initiative put Democratic women at the center of an aggressive strategy to flip the U.S. House and reclaim the majority. The path to a majority required protecting the ten Frontline incumbents who prevailed in some of the toughest races of 2024. Throughout the cycle, the EMILYs List team provided strategic support and critical resources to help our incumbents defend their seats.
