EMILYs List Congratulates Rep. Kathy Castor on Her Victory in Florida’s 14th Congressional District

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following Rep. Kathy Castor’s decisive win in Florida’s 14th Congressional District, EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“EMILYs List proudly congratulates Congresswoman Kathy Castor on her reelection to Florida’s 14th Congressional District. Republicans targeted Kathy’s seat with a partisan gerrymander designed to give themselves an advantage, but she beat the odds and won. Her victory is a powerful rebuke to Republicans’ attempts to manipulate the map for political gain and a testament to Kathy’s deep roots in Tampa Bay and record of delivering for working families. EMILYs List is proud to have stood with Kathy in this fight and excited to see her return to Congress to keep fighting for Florida families.”

EMILYs List’s Mission Majority initiative put Democratic women at the center of an aggressive strategy to flip the U.S. House and reclaim the majority. The path to a majority required protecting the ten Frontline incumbents who prevailed in some of the toughest races of 2024. Throughout the cycle, the EMILYs List team provided strategic support and critical resources to help our incumbents defend their seats.
