EMILYs List Congratulates Paige Cognetti on Her Victory in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following Paige Cognetti’s decisive win flipping Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District, EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement celebrating her victory:

“EMILYs List proudly congratulates Paige Cognetti on flipping Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District, a critical pickup on the path to a Democratic U.S. House majority. EMILYs List has been proud to stand with Paige during her time as mayor, and we know she’ll bring that same fight against corruption and commitment to delivering for her community to Congress. Paige ran a strong, locally focused campaign centered on accountability and economic security for working families. Her victory is a testament to her leadership and the strength of her campaign.”

EMILYs List’s Mission Majority initiative put Democratic women at the center of an aggressive strategy to flip the U.S. House and reclaim the majority. EMILYs List led the effort to expand the battleground map, backing 26 Majority Makers in key competitive districts and tougher Republican-held terrain where strong women candidates could deliver the seats Democrats needed to win the House. We built that strategy by providing strategic guidance, critical resources, and targeted fundraising and communications support to help candidates compete and win.
