WASHINGTON, D.C. — This month, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, commemorates its 35th anniversary with the annual We Are EMILY Virtual Conference online to celebrate women leaders across the country. The conference will feature panel discussions, highlight the four women senators who ran for president, and present Ohio House Minority Leader Emilia Sykes with the 2020 Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award.
On Monday, July 27th, conference guests will hear from EMILYs List President Stephanie Schriock, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, and Ohio House Minority Leader Emilia Sykes.
The conference program will include panels on the upcoming November elections and voting rights, senatorial races, perspective from women in the U.S. House of Representatives, and a special conversation featuring all of the 2020 Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award nominees.
On Tuesday, July 28th, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and Senator Elizabeth Warren will be honored with the We Are EMILY Award. Mayor London Breed and EMILY's List Founder Ellen Malcolm will deliver remarks. Additional information on the conference is forthcoming.
