EMILY's List Reacts to Arguments in SCOTUS Case NIFLA v. Becerra
“Pregnant women deserve facts, not anti-choice propaganda.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in NIFLA v. Becerra. At the center of this case is the question of whether fake women’s health centers will be allowed to continue deceiving women about their full range of reproductive health​ ​care options. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, released the following statement:

“Pregnant women deserve facts, not anti-choice propaganda. At ​​fake ​women's health centers, they get the latter. By posing as medical professionals, fake health centers deceive women about the full range of their reproductive health care choices; even lying or coercing them into actions they might not want to take.”

“Fake ​health centers want to keep lying to pregnant women without consequences. We won't let them. We're proud to stand with our pro-choice allies in defending a woman's right to make her own personal, informed health care decisions, and we will always work to elect pro-choice Democratic women to office who will fight for women's rights.”
