EMILYs List Statement on Three Years Without Roe v. Wade

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tomorrow marks three years since the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, in which Trump-nominated justices overturned Roe v. Wade and eliminated Americans’ long-standing, constitutional right to abortion. Today, attacks on abortion remain in full throttle — by the Trump administration, the federal agencies at its disposal, and Republican state lawmakers across the nation.
EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:
“Republicans were never going to be satisfied with overturning Roe v. Wade. Their attacks on abortion remain in full steam, with women across America paying the ultimate price. One thing is clear: They won’t stop until abortion is banned nationwide, or they’re stripped of their power.
“Democratic pro-choice women are our best weapon in fighting back against their senseless cruelty. We are deadset on ousting the extremist Republicans who manufactured this crisis and taking back our basic rights from their grasp.”
