WASHINGTON, D.C. – With news that the Trump administration is preparing to take action against ActBlue, the online donation platform used across the Democratic ecosystem and by countless campaigns and organizations, EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement: 

“Republicans are poised to lose big in the midterms, so Trump is doing what he does best: distract, create chaos, increase anxiety, and instill fear. But Trump’s focus on ActBlue tells us one thing: they fear Democratic power and the countless grassroots donors across the country who are fueling the resistance. They don’t want us to fight back, but we won’t let their pathetic strategy work. Now’s the time to double down, not back away.”
