EMILYs List Statement on Jury Finding Trump Guilty

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former President Donald Trump was found unanimously guilty by a jury on 34 felony counts in his New York hush money trial, making him the first American president to become a felon. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement: 

“We already knew Trump was guilty of overturning Roe v. Wade and jeopardizing our democracy, but now a jury has found him guilty of being a criminal.

“This November the choice couldn’t be more obvious. While Democrats like President Biden and Vice President Harris are focused on improving the lives of Americans and protecting our freedoms, Trump is running on a platform of lies.”
