EMILYs List Celebrates National Immigrant Heritage Month

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June marks the 10th anniversary of National Immigrant Heritage Month. EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler released the following statement celebrating the event:
 
“National Immigrant Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the millions of people who have chosen to make the U.S. their home. Our country is more vibrant, diverse, and reflective of the world around us because of their presence. We celebrate all of their cultural contributions woven into the fabric of their communities. It has never been more imperative that we stand with immigrants against hateful rhetoric and actions, and continue to support those who come to the U.S. seeking a safe harbor and the opportunity to realize their dreams.”
