EMILY’s List Congratulates 22 Women on Winning Their Colorado General Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILY’s List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulates 22 EMILY's List-endorsed women for their victory in the Colorado general elections. The Colorado House is now officially a majority Democratic pro-choice women chamber and EMILY's List-endorsed women were elected to the top three leadership positions. The Colorado General Assembly also made history in becoming a majority women legislature. 
 
EMILY’s List president, Laphonza Butler released the following statement:
 
“EMILY’s List is thrilled to congratulate these pro-choice champions on their victory in the Colorado general election. We know these newly elected women, and incumbents will continue to secure access to abortion care, and defend the freedoms of Coloradans across the state. This is a victory not only for Colorado, but for the preservation of our democracy. We couldn’t be more proud to support these leaders.”
