EMILYs List Celebrates Flipping the Michigan Legislature 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, celebrates flipping the Michigan Legislature, securing a pro-choice majority and Democratic trifecta in the state for the first time in nearly 40 years, and electing 31 women to the state legislature. EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler released the following statement:

“Michiganders have made their voices heard by shutting down Republicans’ attacks on abortion access in the state and electing a Democratic pro-choice trifecta to office. EMILYs List is thrilled to see what these reproductive rights champions will do in office to protect their constituents and ensure that Michigan is a place where all can prosper.”
