EMILYs List Endorses Carol Glanville in Michigan Special Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Carol Glanville in the special election for Michigan’s 74th House District. Laphonza Butler, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

Her dedication to improving education, economic development, and protecting the environment will go a long way towards improving the lives of all Michigan families. As a lifelong educator, philanthropist, and daughter of union workers, we are confident that Glanville will be ready to advocate for the people of Michigan from day one.” 

Carol Glanville was born and raised in West Michigan. She has extensive experience in education, having served as a classroom teacher, administrator, and education consultant. Currently, Glanville works at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University developing curriculum and training materials for foundations and grant makers. She also holds a seat on the Walker City Commission and serves on the advisory boards for Kent County Community Action and County Waste to Energy. She’s also a board member with West Michigan Trails and Greenways Coalition.
