EMILYs List Congratulates Faith Craig and Janet Diaz on Their Reelection to the Lancaster City Council

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Faith Craig and Janet Diaz on their reelection to the Lancaster City Council. Laphonza Butler, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:
 
“The EMILYs List community is thrilled to congratulate Faith Craig and Janet Diaz on their reelection victories. Since being sworn into the City Council in 2018, these leaders have advocated for providing affordable health care, combating lead contamination, and addressing the opioid epidemic. EMILYs List is proud to continue supporting Councilwomen Craig and Diaz, and we look forward to all that they will accomplish in their next term.”
 
Faith Craig is a mother, grandmother, and small business owner in Lancaster, PA. She began serving on the Lancaster City Council in 2018, and she currently chairs the Council Community Planning Committee. She also serves the Lancaster community as a judge of elections and poll clerk. 
 
Janet Diaz is a Lancaster native who — after growing up facing many hardships, including experiencing homelessness and poverty — made history as the first Latina to be elected to the City Council.  On the Council, she serves as chair of the Personnel Committee and a member of the Public Works and Finance committees.
