EMILYs List Endorses Felicia Moore for Mayor of Atlanta

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Felicia Moore for mayor of Atlanta. Laphonza Butler, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“EMILYs List is thrilled to endorse Felicia Moore in the race for mayor of Atlanta, GA. Now serving as Atlanta City Council president, Moore has been a dedicated public servant for nearly 30 years, working to make her community a safer, more prosperous place. As mayor, Councilmember Moore will prioritize public safety, partnerships with Atlanta schools, accountability, fiscal stability, ethics, and transparency. EMILYs List is proud to stand with Councilmember Moore in her campaign for mayor.” 

Felicia Moore graduated cum laude from Central State University in Ohio and holds an MSA from Central Michigan University. She has been a resident of Atlanta for over 30 years and a public servant for nearly as long, beginning as president of her Neighborhood Association and chair of her Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU-D). In 1997, with broad support from her community, Moore put her real estate career on hold to seek election to the Atlanta City Council for District 9. She represented District 9 for 20 years before becoming Council president in January 2018.
