EMILYs List Congratulates Faith Craig and Janet Diaz on Their Victories in the Primary Election for Lancaster City Council

Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Faith Craig and Janet Diaz on their victories in the primary election for Lancaster City Council. Emily Cain, executive director of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“The EMILYs List community is thrilled to congratulate Faith Craig and Janet Diaz on their primary victories. Since being elected in 2017, these two women have led the way on issues like access to affordable health care, combating lead contamination, and addressing the opioid epidemic. We look forward to seeing these two leaders prevail in the upcoming general election.”  

Faith Craig is a mother, grandmother, and small business owner in Lancaster. She began on the Lancaster City Council in 2018, and has served as the chairwoman of the City Council Economic Development & Neighborhood Revitalization Committee. She also serves the Lancaster community as a judge of elections and poll clerk. 

Janet Diaz, a product of the Lancaster public education system, is the first Latina serving on the Lancaster City Council and was elected in 2017. During her time, she has served as the chairwoman of the City Council Personnel Committee. She works as a stroke registrar and volunteers as a YMCA sexual assault advocate.
