EMILYs List Endorses Pat Keon for Mayor of Coral Gables

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Commissioner Pat Keon in the race for mayor of Coral Gables. Emily Cain, executive director of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“Commissioner Pat Keon has been a dedicated public servant for the people of Coral Gables and we are thrilled to endorse her for mayor. Pat has served as a city commissioner since 2013 and has been an active participant in the city groups that influence the issues that most impact the people of Coral Gables, such as the Planning & Zoning Board, Youth Advisory Board, and the Dade County School’s Citizens’ Advisory Panel for Children with Learning Disabilities. Pat has committed her career to bettering the lives of all the residents of Coral Gables and we are eager to watch as she continues to make The City Beautiful shine as its next mayor.” 

Commissioner Pat Keon was reelected for a second four-year term on the Coral Gables City Commission in April of 2017. Pat has served on an array of city boards, including the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, where she spearheaded the redevelopment of the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center. When her children were of school age, Pat was an officer and board member of their PTAs and also served on various school board advisory panels.
