Women Vote Announces Six-Figure Television Program in Illinois’ 13th Congressional District Race

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Women Vote, the independent expenditure arm of EMILYs List, announced a six-figure television program in the race between Betsy Dirksen Londrigan and Congressman Rodney Davis.  The ad, which begins airing today, calls out Congressman Rodney Davis and his appalling record of putting special interests before his constituents’ interests. 

“Congressman Rodney Davis came to Washington to make  himself and his family rich,” said Melissa Williams, vice president of independent expenditures at EMILYs List. “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Davis is bought and paid for by the big businesses that fund his campaign, and he has made a career of cheating hardworking Illinoisans out of the opportunities and benefits they deserve. For far too long, Congressman Davis has voted against the interests of women and working families, and Illinoisans will hold him and his failed leadership accountable when they vote him out of office on November 3.”
