EMILYs List Statement on Kesha Ram’s Primary Victory for the Vermont State Senate
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Kesha Ram (SD-Chittenden County) on advancing to the general election for the Vermont state Senate. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

Kesha Ram is a dedicated public servant who learned the values of hard work by contributing to her family’s business growing up. After graduating from the University of Vermont, she served as the legal advocacy director for Steps to End Domestic Violence and taught preschool at the Burlington Children’s Space. She later worked with the city of Burlington as a civic engagement specialist. When she was elected to the state House of Representatives in 2008, she was the youngest state legislator in the country. Currently, Kesha serves on the boards of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England and the Vermont Natural Resources Council.
