WASHINGTON, D.C. — EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, is hosting a Run to Win 101 candidate training in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, April 13.

The midterm election of 2018 ushered in the most diverse class of congressional leaders in American history. EMILYs List has been committed to recruiting, training and endorsing many of the women who ran and won during the last cycle, and the momentum is still there.

“In 2018, women made the difference in Nevada and all over the country; taking back the House and making history in states like Nevada that have the benefit of a majority-women legislature,” said Lianna Stroster, senior director of national training at EMILYs List.

“This is why it’s so important that we continue to train and recruit in Nevada and all over the country to ensure that women have an equal seat at the table in state government and beyond.”

Since Election Day 2016, more than 46,000 women have contacted EMILYs List expressing interest in running for public office. As a result, we launched our largest-ever national training and recruitment program, Run to Win. Over the last cycle, EMILYs List has trained over 5,000 women.

EMILY's List’s Run To Win Training offers women the basic tools they need to launch and run a winning campaign. During the training, participants will learn the basics of running for office including taking the first steps to get ready to run, how to build their team, and telling their personal story.
