EMILYs List Statement on Illinois’ State Election Results
WASHINGTON, D.C. – As races continue to be called in favor of pro-choice Democratic women across Illinois, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated eight EMILYs List candidates on their well-deserved victories for the Illinois General Assembly. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:
“Illinois families have chosen women leaders who aren’t afraid to improve government accountability, fight for better funding for public schools, and build a stronger economy that works for all. EMILYs List is proud to congratulate these pro-choice Democratic women leaders who will push the Assembly to solve the toughest challenges facing Illinois families.”
