EMILYs List Congratulates Amy Klobuchar on Her Historic Victory in Minnesota Gubernatorial Race

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following Gov.-elect Amy Klobuchar’s historic win in the Minnesota gubernatorial race, EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement celebrating her victory:

“EMILYs List proudly congratulates Amy Klobuchar on her historic victory as Minnesota’s first woman governor. From the granddaughter of an iron ore miner to the first woman to represent Minnesota in the U.S. Senate, Amy has spent her career breaking barriers and delivering results. She took on Big Pharma to save taxpayers billions and helped pass laws protecting women and children online. Now, she’ll bring that same toughness and track record to the governor’s office, fighting to lower costs and make healthcare, childcare, and housing more affordable. We’re proud to have stood with Amy every step of the way.”
