Women Vote Releases New Ads Highlighting Greg Gianforte's Attempts to Privatize and Strip Protections for Public Lands
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILY's List independent expenditure arm Women Vote released new radio and digital ads highlighting Greg Gianforte's record of attempting to eliminate protections for and to privatize public lands.
The radio ad, “Beat It,” can be listened to here and will run today through Election Day on statewide radio and in the Billings market. The digital spots “Rainbow,” and “Catch” will run on CBS, CNN, Hulu and Facebook, and “Reels” will run on Pandora radio also through Election Day.
“Montana's public lands are sacred,” said Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILY's List. “Greg Gianforte's record of trying to privatize and strip protections for these cherished lands disqualifies him from public office. Montanans are lucky to have Kathleen Williams, who has always stood up for our state's natural resources, in this race — the choice could not be more clear.”
RADIO SCRIPT: “Beat It”
VO:
Everybody knows this guy.
GRUFF OLDER MAN:
Beat it, kids!
FEMALE VO:
Well we've got a guy like that right here in Montana. And his name is Congressman Greg Gianforte.
GIANFORTE-TYPE (through a megaphone):
Get out of my river!
VO:
See, Gianforte came here from New Jersey. He doesn't have the same respect for public lands that we do. So when people fished in this river behind Gianforte's Montana mansion? He didn't like it one bit. And he sued the state of Montana to keep you out.
GIANFORTE-TYPE:
Scram! Get out of here!
VO:
But that's no surprise. In Congress, Gianforte sponsored bills eliminating protections for nearly 700,000 acres of public lands. Gianforte's message to Montanans was clear. Go fish and graze your cattle somewhere else.
Kathleen Williams has dedicated her career to protecting our rivers and mountains for generations to come. Kathleen Williams. No-nonsense leadership for Montana.
DIGITAL SCRIPT: “Catch”
Greg Gianforte won't share his catch with Montanans.
He tried to block public fishing access near his riverfront mansion.

Slimy Greg Gianforte's not for Montana.
DIGITAL SCRIPT: “Rainbow”
Trust me, Greg Gianforte won't share his catch with Montanans.
While he reels 'em in near his riverfront mansion, Gianforte tried to block public fishing access for others.
And on higher ground, Gianforte wants to privatize public lands. In Congress, he fought to eliminate protections for almost 700,000 acres.
It's Kathleen Williams who's protecting public lands and standing up for us.
