EMILYs List Endorses Maggie Toulouse Oliver for New Mexico Lieutenant Governor

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Sec. of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver for lieutenant governor of New Mexico. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“Maggie Toulouse Oliver is a bold leader who has never backed down from a fight to protect New Mexico, and EMILYs List is proud to once again stand with her in the race for lieutenant governor. Over the past decade, EMILYs List has worked hard to build a Democratic pro-choice trifecta and a majority-women legislature in the state, and in 2026, we will elect Democratic pro-choice women to the office of governor and lieutenant governor.”

Maggie Toulouse OIiver is New Mexico’s 26th secretary of state. With EMILYs List by her side, she has served the people of New Mexico in this role since first being elected in 2016. She began her public service career in 2007 when she became county clerk in New Mexico’s largest county, Bernalillo County. As secretary of state, she modernized elections, expanded voter access, and strengthened ethics. Maggie is now running for lieutenant governor to fight for transparency, fairness, and put New Mexicans first.
