EMILYs List Statement on Oregon’s State Primary Election Results
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated five women on winning their elections last night. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:
“These pro-choice Democratic women leaders have shown they have what it takes to serve as strong voices for their communities. Their commitment to fighting for working families and women across the state is unmatched. EMILY's List is proud to stand with these women and we congratulate them on advancing to the general election.
“We are particularly proud of Kate Brown, one of only two incumbent Democratic women governors in the country, and look forward to her continued leadership in the state.”
