EMILYs List Endorses Nicole Cannizzaro for Nevada Attorney General
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Nicole Cannizzaro for Nevada attorney general. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:
“EMILYs List is proud to endorse Nicole Cannizzaro for Nevada attorney general. As a prosecutor and the first woman to serve as majority leader of the Nevada state Senate, Nicole Cannizzaro has a long record of fighting to protect Nevada communities. At a time when state attorneys general are one of the most critical lines of defense against federal overreach, we must elect battle tested leaders like Nicole.”
Nicole Cannizzaro is a mom, a lifelong Nevadan, a prosecutor, and the first woman to serve as majority leader of the Nevada state Senate. An experienced prosecutor who tackled tough cases — including racketeering and fraud, child abuse, sexual assault, and homicide — Nicole has been on frontlines of the fight to keep Nevada communities safe. As a state senator, Nicole passionately advocates for Nevada’s families and rights. She has led the fight to make critical investments in Nevada’s education system, fought back against Big Pharma, and permanently protected abortion rights and IVF in Nevada while keeping women and doctors safe from out-of-state prosecutions. Nicole is running for attorney general to keep fighting for Nevandans by taking on big corporations and protecting customers, keeping Nevada communities safe, and fighting to protect abortion access and voting rights.
