EMILY's List

We ignite change by getting pro-choice
Democratic women elected to office.

Thinking about an EMILY’s List Internship?

Gain valuable political experience and help elect pro-choice Democratic women up and down the ticket! We offer internships spring, summer, and fall in all of our departments. Interns have the opportunity to do substantive work, while gaining in-depth experience in the political sector. In addition to daily work in their departments and attendance at staff events, interns participate in brown bag sessions, which gives them the opportunity to hear from varying levels of staff while learning about their professional history and gaining deeper knowledge about how all of the departments at EMILY’s List work. Every intern leaves EMILY’s List ready for life on the campaign trail after attending a full-day intensive training that will equip them with skills for beginning a career in campaigns.

Summer 2017 applications are now closed. Keep an eye on our website for information regarding the Fall 2017 semester. If you have any questions, feel free to email information@emilyslist.org.

EMILY's List is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values a multi-cultural, diverse working environment. Applicants of diverse backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to apply. All internships are located in Washington, D.C. and are unpaid.

Where are they now?

EMILY’s List provides its interns with invaluable real-world, professional experience. Internships pave the way for bright futures in a range of fields from working on campaigns to working on the Hill, or even returning to EMILY’s List.
