Women Vote Invests $2.7 Million Supporting Cheri Beasley in North Carolina

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILYs List Women Vote announced its first expenditure in North Carolina’s Senate race, highlighting with a television ad that 85% of North Carolinians “Agree,” with Cheri Beasley that abortion should remain legal, while her anti-choice, extremist opponent Ted Budd has advanced policy that would jail doctors for performing the essential medical procedure, with no exceptions. The ad will air for two weeks in six markets across North Carolina as well as on statewide satellite. EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler remarked on the importance of this investment with the following statement:
