EMILYs List Statement on Trump Supporting National Abortion Ban

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday on a Fox News Interview, Donald Trump said in his own words that he supports a national abortion ban. EMILYs List Interim President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for a national abortion ban.

“This is a reminder that when people tell you who they are, believe them. Trump has credited himself for overturning Roe v. Wade, emboldened extremists to restrict reproductive rights in the states, and said he supports a national abortion ban in a campaign interview. If elected, we don’t have to guess where our rights would stand – he would happily decimate them. 

“The choice in November is simple. Democrats like President Biden and Vice President Harris are on the side of voters and will protect our fundamental freedoms, while extremist Republicans like Trump are trying to strip our rights away.”
