EMILYs List Statement on Republican Lawmakers Running Scared from Their Own Town Halls

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the National Republican Campaign Committee – the U.S. House GOP’s campaign arm – instructed Republican lawmakers to stop holding in-person town halls in response to constituents expressing their anger over mass federal layoffs and Republican efforts to raise prices and rip away health care from millions of Americans. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement: 

“House Republicans are total cowards. And we’re coming for their seats.”
