EMILYs List Puts Mike Garcia “On Notice”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, announced that it was placing Rep. Mike Garcia (CA-27) “On Notice.” Garcia joins 22 other extremist anti-choice House Republicans as some of EMILYs List’s top targets to defeat in the 2024 election cycle. EMILYs List President Laphonza Butler released the following statement:

“Rep. Mike Garcia is a one-stop shop for anti-abortion extremism. He voted against the Women’s Health Protection Act twice, cosponsored a bill that would have banned all abortions as well as certain forms of birth control, and happily accepted an endorsement from the right-wing extremist group Susan B. Anthony List, whose stated goal is to end abortion. It has never been more critical to defeat Garcia and ensure that the people of California’s 27th Congressional District have a true pro-choice champion representing them in Congress.”
