WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, released the following statement in reaction to Margaret Good's victory in Florida House District 72: 

​​“By electing Margaret Good, Sarasota women and families will have an ally fighting for them in the Florida state House,” said EMILYs List President Stephanie Schriock. “EMILYs List was proud to support Margaret and we are thrilled to congratulate her on a successful campaign, in which she flipped a red seat to blue. 

​“​With women like state Senator Annette Taddeo and Representative-elect Margaret Good serving in Tallahassee, Florida will be a better place for women and families. Their victories are a growing sign of momentum in Florida — the kind we will need to win the governorship in 2018 and make big gains in the legislature.  This is just the beginning.”
